This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our services, including the Milo mobile application, website, and related platforms (collectively, the “Services”).

a. Account and Profile Information

When you sign in through Google Sign-In, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by your Google account. For phone number authentication, we collect and verify your mobile phone number through SMS-based one-time passwords (OTP). You may also provide a username and other optional profile information.

b. Messages and User-Generated Content

We store messages, media, and other content you create, upload, or share while using the app’s chat and social features.

c. Contacts

With your explicit permission, we access your contacts to help you discover and connect with friends who are also using the app.

d. Camera and Microphone Access

We request access to your camera for features like uploading a profile picture and to your microphone for voice calls. These permissions are voluntary and managed by your device’s settings.

e. SMS and OTP Verification

To verify your phone number during login, we send a one-time password (OTP) via SMS to your mobile device. With your permission, the app may automatically read incoming SMS messages to retrieve the OTP code for seamless authentication. We do not store the content of your SMS messages, and this permission is used solely for OTP verification purposes. You can choose to enter the OTP manually if you prefer not to grant SMS read permissions.

f. Device and Technical Information

We collect technical data such as device model, OS version, app version, IP address, and crash reports to help us troubleshoot and improve the app.

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized statistics to help us understand user behavior and enhance the experience.

We may share information with service providers like Firebase and Google for authentication, data storage, and analytics. We may also disclose information to comply with laws or protect rights and safety.

Milo is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from such users. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete it.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can manage app permissions, including SMS access for OTP auto-reading, through your device settings at any time.
